The Height of My Business Success

$255,000 Check. After years of practicing the advice of success gurus, I had overcome my very ugly childhood and proved I could "make something of myself". By 2007, my small biz income was nearly $700k and growing at 300% annually. This check came from a personal sale I made, as the owner of the company, to a large automotive finance company in South Florida. I sold them a private label version of my web-based online interactive video training system and this was a 50% deposit on the entire fee, plus software maintenance fees. This check made me feel like God was really blessing my business and I could only see even greater material success in the future for me. However, soon, behind my smile would emerge a growing sense of tension, as I would become more and more torn between two loves, the love of material success and money, and the love of God.
