Barb Schaetzle was given a copy of the original John 7:17 Challenge by a friend. She didn’t want to read it, but she also didn’t want to be rude, so she put it on her bookshelf, where it collected dust for a few years.
And then one day…now in her 70’s, she was led to pick up the book. It impacted her life so much that in 2024, she purchased 20 additional copies of the book to give away to those the Lord would lead, including her pastor!

What’s the Challenge?
Far too many "Christians" are living today as worried, confused, frustrated, and fruitless "believers", rather than true disciples. Jesus promised life to the full (rest Mat 11:28, peace John 14:27, contentment John 4: 14, provision Mat 6:33, freedom from sin John 8:32, fruitfulness John 15:5, and joy John 15:11), to all of his faithful followers who are willing to intentionally learn and practice his teachings. The average Christian can only recite five to ten of Christ's commandments. There are approximately 112. It's no wonder, so few have the abundant life.
