This was a general message I made to all brothers and sisters about the subject of prayer.

The Power of Persistent Prayer: Unlocking God’s Grace in Your Life

Do you ever feel like your prayers are hitting a brick wall? Like you're pouring out your heart to God, but nothing seems to be happening? You're not alone. Even mature Christians experience seasons of dryness in their prayer life. But the key, as today’s recording emphasizes, is persistence.

"Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?" (2 Corinthians 13:5). This verse challenges us to examine the reality of Christ in our lives. Is He truly living and active within us? One powerful indicator is the presence of a vibrant prayer life.  I, Michael Chriswell, cannot make it without daily prayer and communion with Father!

Prayer is not about eloquence or perfectly crafted words. It's about the posture of our hearts before God. It's about acknowledging our weakness and dependence on Him. "My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). This promise is not contingent on our ability to pray well, but on God's abundant grace.

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work" (2 Corinthians 9:8). God promises to equip us for every good work, and that equipping comes through His grace, accessed through prayer. When we pray, we open ourselves to the power of the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us and empowers us to live victoriously.

Even when prayer feels dry, we must press in. "I can do everything through him who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13). This strength is not our own, but Christ's strength working in and through us. It's in those moments of persistent prayer, even when we don't feel it, that God often chooses to meet us with His anointing and power. He rewards our overcoming, our refusal to give up.

So, if you're struggling in your prayer life today, take heart. Remember the words of Jesus: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7). Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking. Pray on.  God is faithful, and He will meet you in the secret place of prayer.
